What's in a name?

Okay, now that we know it is a 98% chance the baby will be a boy, now we are on to one of the arduous tasks of determing a name for the little tike. Well, for us it is arduous. Some people already have that figured out way back when. If you know of these people, please let us know. :)

On the baby front, we have two friends that have had babies over the last week. It seems like it is baby season or something. Names taken by them are Rohan and Lyla. So, Lyla wouldn't be such a great name for a boy. And I guess Rohan is taken. I mean, you don't want to name your baby the same as your friends. And then again, there is george forman, and his sons, george, george, george, george, and george.

I guess it is customary to reveal the baby's name at the time of birth. We are always looking for ideas. And of course, all our friends names are put into the hat, so you are covered on that. :)

its... its... its... let me have the doc confirm

well, this post is kinda a day late and a dollar short. we went to an ultrasound appointment on October 1, 2008 to check out the baby, make sure all was well, and perhaps most important to everyone - find out what the sex is. is it a boy? is it a girl? is it a ... well, we will hold off on that.

so we had a student do the ultrasound to get some practice, then the doctor would check through her work to critique how she did the ultrascan. she was searching through the baby, looking at the heart, looking at the spine, looking at the head, looking at the waist, just about everything she possibly could! the baby wasn't cooperating as well as it could have. it had it's arm across it's face and legs crossed, and all that protective instinct type thing. heck, i would given that crazy ultrasound a meter thingy being used! anyway, the student said she thought it was a boy, but wanted the doctor to confirm. After the doc when through all of the ultrasound techniques again, he said that he was 98% sure it was going to be a boy.

well, we were both overjoyed! but i think tiff was a little dissapointed because all the time she was thinking it was a girl. so, she is already on the bandwagon about having another one to even out the boy / girl ratio. they also gave us some updates on the due date. originally it was march 3, 2009. but now they say it looks like feb 24... however, they were saying that it is more accurate earlier in the pregnancy than later in the pregnancy for some reason.

creation of a blog - thoughts about a cub

uhkay... so i got a blog. just signed up from peer pressure. now it is time to get creative and jot down some interesting remarks that others will find helpful, amusing, or annoying since i have a speciality in that. i wonder what. i mean, will people subscribe? should i put in some email addresses to automagically send stuff out to? does it help that i just ate an apple fritter and glazed old fashioned donut to appease my pregger wifey? ugh.

anyway, rosarito ensenada. fun last weekend. see? i guess it is one of the last things i will do before the baby comes. wait a sec, ski season is coming! :) my friend aaron has already purchased the "epic" pass to go skiing anytime during the season. i am tempted. i may just. we will have to see...

anyway, tomorrow is the big sex day. not what you are thinking. remember, i'm married. ouch. tomorrow we find out if the it is a she or he. so, excitement abounds! i guess tune in tomorrow for more on that. Cheers!
